 
Monday:
POSTER SHARE: The star student will be given a special poster the week before and will bring this poster (filled out and colored) on Monday to start of his or her special week to share with the class at Morning Meeting.
Tuesday:
TREASURED TRINKETS: Please help your child collect up to 3 special items from home and send them to school with your child on Tuesday to share with his/her classmates during Morning Meeting.
Wednesday:
PARENT LETTER: Parents, you will write a letter to the class telling us how your child is special to you. Send the letter in a sealed envelope with your child to school on Wednesday and I will read the letter to the class during Morning Meeting. The content of the letter is up to you, but you may want to choose from one of the following ideas:
- Describe special or funny stories about your child for the class to hear
- Write a serious or silly poem about your child
- Tell us some neat things that we may not know about your child
- Send silly or special pictures with the letter describing the pictures
- Write a short story with your child as the main character.
You may also send in a video to show the class to watch if you choose.
Thursday:
LUNCH BUDDY: This is an opportunity to make your child’s week very special by coming to school and having lunch with him or her. You may invite a relative or family friend to be your child’s lunch buddy if you cannot attend. Please make sure to sign in at the office. Our lunch is at 11:40-12:20. You can keep the buddy a surprise or you can let your child know. If you are unable to make it, please let me know and I will plan a special lunch for your child.
Friday:
STAR FRIENDS: The “Star” Student will be presented with a friendship book created by his or her classmates. The book will include compliments and pictures created by classmates.
**Your child will get to take home our class pet over the weekend. Our class pet is a WebKinz pet. They may go on www.webkinz.com to feed it and earn money for it. I will send them home with a journal so that they can document what adventures the class pet had while with your child. Your child will share their entry with the class!**
**The events planned for Wednesday, Thursday , and Friday can be swapped in order to accommodate your personal schedules if you are planning to be a lunch buddy during the week.
