How do I access the Math Textbook Online?

Follow the directions below:
1. Go to www.pearsonsuccessnet.com
2. Click register
3. On the first screen, type the class access code. (62D95AE8599ED13135B)
4. Follow the instructions to register. Please DO NOT use your full name as your user name. Write your user name and password done for future reference.
5. At the end of the registration process, the SuccessNet login page appears.
6. Log in by typing your user name and password.

How do I access the Reading Textbook Online?

1. Go to http://macmillanmh.com/ose/
2. Under the student login type the class access code. (E958D1B6A7)
3. That will take you directly to the online book.
4. Remember to write down the access code for future reference.

When is homework due?

Homework is due the day after it has been assigned. Monday's homework is due Tuesday, Tuesday's homework is due Wednesday etc. The students will copy homework into their notebook each day. This notebook will go into their BEE Binder daily. Please make sure you initial this page daily. If for any reason your child can not complete their homework, please write me a note and let me know.

How do I notify the School of a transporatation change?

Your child has a usual way of getting home from school each day even though the way they go home on Monday might be different than the way they go home on Tuesday. When a change comes up in the way that they go home for that day, the request must be in writing. Please use a full sheet of paper. The note should include the child's full name, teacher's name, date, what the change needs to be, as well as a parent's signature. The note should be given to the teacher to be forwarded to the office to document. Please remind/encourage your child to turn those notes in to the teacher in the morning. A note at 3:15 makes for a frantic dismisal.

What is the school's policy on visitors and volunteers?

We encourage parents and family members to visit our school and to be active. All visitors and volunteers need to sign in at the front ofice and wear an identificaion badge while on the campus. This is a state law and will be enforced for your child's safety. Please sign in using the volunteer book in the front office. The PTA logs volunteer hours which includes chaperoning field trips and helping out at class parties. Unexpected classroom visits and hall conferences are not allowed at our school. If you need to see your child or need to drop something off, the ofice will send for the child.

Does my child need a snack each day?

The class is permitted to have a light snack each day. Students are not allowed to trade or share snacks except for birthday treats. You may also send a box drink or a water if you like. Please, no soda, or candy. Try to make it a healthy snack.

Can we send in treats for my child's birthday?

If your child would like to celebrate their birthday at school please contact me via note or email prior to the date. You may send in a snack and napkins that can be shared.

What should my child do with their BUZZ BUCKS?

The Honey Hive is open during lunch recess on Thursdays for students to spend their Buzz Bucks. These have been earned for following school rules and exhibiting positive behavior. Many students like to keep these in a Buzz Buck Holder; which can be purchased from the school office for $3. Buzz Bucks cannot be replaced if they are lost or washed in a pocket. The colors change each nine weeks. Students need to spend the old color by the Thurday following the end of the 9 weeks.

Can my child bring a water bottle to class?
Water bottles are permitted in my classroom. However, I require they have a top that can be secured. Ex: twist top on them. This prevents large spills on classroom supplies. Students may keep these on their desks throughout the day to stay hydrated. If a child plays or does not follow the rules about the use of water bottles,their privilige will be taken away.
